Kruger van Wyk, the previous New Zealand wicket-guardian batsman, has reported that he has chosen to resign from all cricket. van Wyk, 35, played nine Tests for New Zealand, making a top score of 71 and affecting 24 (23 discovers and 1 puzzling) releases. He reported that he will now assume responsibility as the Executive of Cricket at the College of Pretoria's TuksCricket Institute.

van Wyk was conceived in South Africa, and began his cricket at Northerns before moving to Canterbury. With Imprint Boucher sparkling in the wicket-attendant batsman part for South Africa for over 10 years, Kruger van Wyk took up the offer of his mentor, Dave Nosworthy, to relocate to New Zealand looking for more open doors.
He drove the Canterbury Wizards to the top of the line State title in just his lady stretch as commander. He captained the Wizards until 2010, when he marked for the Focal Stags.
